Pascale Houde

Pascale Houde was born in Hull, Québec. She lived in Uruguay, Peru, United States and France and has been living in Montreal since 1981. In 1977, she obtained a "Baccalauréat en Mathématiques et Science de la Nature" (with Distinction) from the Academy of Aix-Marseille in France and a Bachelor of Civil Law in 1980 from the University of Ottawa. She was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1981.

Ms. Houde is President of the Latin America Committee of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) - Quebec Division and a Council Member and General Rapporteur of the Inter-American Bar Association (IABA).

She has lectured on the following subjects:

• Managing Risks in International Commercial Contracts, Seminar on Financing Mechanisms of Energy Projects at the International School of Bordeaux, France (1993).
• Alternative dispute resolution, Québec Bar Permanent Education course on Managing Export Risks (1996).

Ms. Houde currently enjoys the "bv" (high to very high) rating of Martindale-Hubbell.

Ms. Houde is a past director and Secretary of the Montreal chapter of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE )(1991-1995).

Her area of practice is business law. She deals with both domestic and international commercial transactions and facilitates as well as participates in the implementation of long-standing business relationships.

Ms. Houde is fluent in French, English and Spanish and has basic knowledge of Portuguese.
